CBS LOCAL: BEST YOGA STUDIOS IN SAN FRANCISCO
“Even if you’re not a yoga person, Fluid Yoga will cure what ails you. Workouts are 90 minutes of postures and breathing exercises in a 105-degree room, allowing muscles to warm up quickly and eliminate toxins from the body. Long-term benefits include stress relief, weight loss, cardiovascular strength and an improved immune system. To say you will sweat is laughable. Bring water. Lots of it, and be prepared to drink before, during and after class.” By Robyn Chelsea-Seifert. February 18, 2012 12:08 AM. Read More

Elizabeth Palmer – Fluid Yoga was nominated for a Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2010 Award in San Francisco. Each year, Women’s Initiative for Self Employment, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit microenterprise training and funding organizations in the country, honors women throughout the Bay Area with the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award for their business success, impact on the local community, innovation, and mentorship of other women.
I thank our yoga community for my nomination and I am honored to be recognized as an independent female entrepreneur. Congratulations to my winning 2010 female colleagues. Elizabeth Palmer, Fluid Yoga
June 2008 Best of the City: Editor’s Choice Award for Greenest Tree PoseThose of you already on the Birkam bandwagon obviously aren’t daunted by the thought of 90 minutes of intense yoga in a sauna-like room. But the stale smell and funky carpet of some studios can repel even the most die-hard adherent. With its antimicrobial rubber flooring, eco-friendly heating system and bright modern decor, Bikram Yoga Inner Sunset is, literally, a breath of fresh air. And if you’re not sure you can take the heat, you can try as many classes as you want for 30 days for only $30. STUFF WE LIKE
It was 113 degrees in LA yesterday, the city’s hottest day ever. Guess where it’s 113 every day? Bikram yoga. I’ve been dabbling in Bikram for a few months now at Fluid Yoga in the Inner Sunset. Right off the N Judah on Judah and 10th, Fluid’s a great place for hot yoga newbies: they offer a 30-day introductory package for just $30. Also, the studio features wooden floors, a plus for anyone who can’t stand the smell of sweaty carpets. Sweat it out!
